Guide on how to survive IB result day

Results days are scarier than nightmares. The fear and the anxiety students go through a night before the result day is obvious. It does not matter how certain you are about your success it is natural to feel anxious and panicky as the result day advances. Keep going because this is the day to bear the fruit of the grind that you went through both mentally and physically in these 2 years of your IB program.

Congrats! You have sailed through your IB. This is the only statement you should focus on.

In today's blog, we will share some guidance with you on how to withstand your IB result day.

When does the IB result is declared?

The IB results are announced on the 5th of July every year. Normally schools are liable to give the result sheet in hard form but students can access their score sheet online a day after the result is declared. Students can access their scores by logging into the website for IB candidates with their code and login PIN.

Stay Cheerful

Always stay optimistic no matter whether you scored higher or average. Celebrate your struggles because this is significant. Taking the toil and ending your IB diploma is a victory itself. If your results are up to your expectations Celebrate Big because you won't find any perfect time than this to rejoice and even if you didn't score big, do not lose heart.

Stepping ahead with the results

Students are often dubious about what options they can consider after their IB diploma completion. Here are some scenarios to deal with after the results:

  • Most of the time, universities are notified about your results so you just have to sit and relax but if you are uncertain and consider that you need to send your mark sheet again you can straight connect to the university admissions office. In case if you change your mind and want to consider another University you can always take guidance from your parents and instructors in this regard.
  • Successfully securing admission to the university depends upon certain factors so you have to make sure whether you fit in the requirements of the institute. Present a good personal statement that justifies that you are an ideal candidate for admission so your possibilities of getting accepted might exceed.
  • If your scores are below average then you should search such institutes that accept admissions with lower grades try to do enough research to raise your chances of acceptance. You can go for rechecking your papers if you think you haven't been evaluated fairly. Also, there is always an option to retake some exams so you can get yourself registered and start working towards the improvements.

Good Luck!
