IB student Alexis' handy tips on online study sessions
Hi there,
I am Alexis and I have been taking help of Practice test and Mock Test series on “Blen”. My online study partner “Blen” has been quite helpful and I have received so much valuable training which has helped me in my self-grooming as well as in the improvement of my grades.
Today, I will be sharing with you some handy tips and know-how that have supported me in my development and which you all can practice in building a healthy work ethic. I believe these tips will add some effort to motivate and assist you.
1) Take notes
Although, on the online educational platform such as “Blen” there is enough information and details given for the assistance of the students yet it is very important to make your own notes of the content you are studying. Listing down your handwritten notes will help you to memorize the concepts thoroughly.
In my opinion, this is the most beneficial tip. While you are creating notes try to write some key points about the topic and do some creative effort. This way, you will have well-prepared revision material for future preparations.
2) Take it as a normal class course
Now, this is crucial; do not take your online course lightly instead fix a regular study hour for the course and each day allot time to do the practice work on this even if fixing 20 or 30 minutes each day don't go after doing the whole work at the weekends.
I would suggest you to make a schedule and display it on your room's door so you will be recalled to work on your course and you will always be ahead of the final deadlines plus it will boost your knowledge and help you to memorize things in a better way.
3) Discuss the material with your teammates
In the online course, there will be your teammates that are studying the same course like you so it is a good practice to share and discuss material and concepts with each other to improve your learning. Try building a strong connection through topic discussions. You can talk about scores, instructors and share your personal experiences.
4) Reach out to your instructor
Do not hesitate to communicate or request your course instructor if you require help or carrying some misunderstanding on anything. Always ask for their guidance regarding additional study resources and material.
Opinion: Blen is an excellent study tool for IB preparations and revision. I would suggest you all to take help from bookmark and question bank section of “Blen”.
